Board Engagement

Engaging a Board in the duties and responsibilities they are charged with can sometimes be a challenge.  Knowing their responsibilities is a good start, accomplished through review of organizational documents and training.  Thoughtful and purposeful planning through development of a formal Work Plan will focus the efforts of the Agency on the appropriate tasks.

Following are Board Engagement services offered by EDP Best Practices, LLC:

Action Plan Development: Work with Staff and / or Board to evaluate existing programs, identify new programs, establish and prioritize goals and objectives and summarize all information into a formal Action Plan.

Board Training: Work with Staff and Board to identify training opportunities for the Board members.  Develop and implement training programs.

Board Retreat Facilitation: Facilitate a discussion with Board Members to evaluate existing programs, identify new programs, establish and prioritize goals and objectives and summarize all information.

Engaging the Board: Work with Staff and the Board to identify projects or programs that can be developed or enhanced through contributions by the Board Members.
